During a trip to Brazil with her husband, Amy Agra noticed something. Brigadeiro was everywhere - sold from carts, served at parties, in restaurants - you couldn't go anywhere without running into it. She realized that if she could learn to make it, it would be a way to express love and affection for her family by providing a taste of Brazil within arm's reach.
It started as a gift.
But as Amy continued to experiment with flavors, her Brazilian in-laws were wowed - her brigadeiro was truly just like home, maybe even better. They encouraged her to share her brigadeiro with a wider audience, to bring this special Brazilian treat to Louisiana. So with their support, Amy was able to launch Delicia in 2017. Since then, Delicia's brigadeiro has been sold in retail locations around Baton Rouge and featured in 225 and DIG magazines.
Amy believes in family and togetherness - both of which are reflected in the culture of Brazil. With that in mind, she hopes her brigadeiro will bring an extra bit of delight to your family gatherings, one bite at a time.
